Default XP Farming

So is mountain troll farming still the most easily accessible and fastest xp farming? Working on getting all the skills on one character so got another 529 skills remaining at this point.

I've been getting around 6k a run with each run taking about 2-3 minutes using scrolls and farming the trolls so at that rate, I'll be able to get the rest of the skills in roughly 50-60 more hours of straight troll farming.

Any suggestions on another area that's faster?

Might be best to state the profession you're farming with.
Different areas are easier with different professions

Soloing Minotaurs and Trolls are fast exp. preferrably i farm Uw for the 5k, 10k quests and most enemys give 256xp W/o scrolls.

I think you need to state your profession to because some are faster than others against different mobs and such.

I've been trying to get all the skills as well; so, I can see where you're going with this. The clear-cut answer used to be Shiro-ken farming outside of Harvest Temple, but since the nerf no one has been able to farm them with anywhere near the same speed. So, if you're reliably able to pick up 6k in 2 minutes from the Mountain Trolls, that's 50 XP per second, which is about as much as anything I've been able to find, post-nerf.

One thing to keep an eye on, though: the Demons that spawn in the Domain of Fear just outside the Gate of Secrets. Each kill nets you 232 XP and there are about 20 of them in close proximity to the entry warp. There's also a Forgotten Warden closeby which will give you the Demon Hunt blessing (this should double your XP but is currently broken). If that stacks straight on top of the triple XP you get from a Scroll of Berserker's Insight (no idea if it does), that will yield 1,392 XP per kill. So, if you can kill 20 Demons in five minutes (I haven't been able to because of the slowing hexes they throw down) and keep the scroll going all the while, that yields 92.8 XP per second, or nearly double what you're getting from the Trolls.

to nechtan im very sure that their is an exp cap on around 500 per monster (I remeber getting power leveled at level 1 with a triple exp scroll and i still only got around 500 exp per kill.

Hmm its not faster but it can get you some decent cash you can be doorman at lutgardis and get 2kexp + 150gold+ 400faction every 2minutes without having to sell crap at merchent

I checked it with a triple XP scroll and got 696 XP per kill. There probably is a cap, but I would suggest that it's set higher than 500 XP. Since you were getting power-leveled (with another person in the party), you got half the experience you would have gotten from soloing. Therefore, I would tentatively suggest that it's possible to get up to 1,000 XP per kill.

Still, I grant you that there is a lot of supposition involved in the 1,392 XP number; I can't verify it directly -- nor can anyone else until Demon Hunt gets fixed. I haven't tried the scroll/blessing combination on Margonites or other high-level creatures, since they aren't quite as farmable, but that would be a telling indicator (assuming that Margonite Hunt works). Also, since I made Castellan, none of the Wandering Priests will talk to me; so, I can't verify this with lower-level creatures either.

Capture skills evn though u may be farming to get skill points for cap sigs, capturing skills give a nice boost to your xp and a rest from your solid troll farming there are two elites near the trolls get them all you need is ripostes.

The one problem with that is if he needs that skill pt. for a cap sig...he'll likely not have it. Also, unless you can get 2 levels with 1 cap sig, using it to get skill points is kinda redundant (you lose more than you gain).

It is, however, how I finished levelling my warrior when I didn't feel like bothering with PuGs.

For fast xp I'd suggest that you farm DoA or Thirsty River. I haven't personally tried DoA yet, but from what I read it's a pretty good farm. Thirsty River should be fairly easy for an elly if you can go E/Me with Mantra of Resolve. Just have pts in earth and fire so you can use armor etc. Glyph of Conc would also work (this is all just to make sure your armor spells aren't interrupted). Pull them so that they are shooting at you but their LoS is obstructed by the rock, and let loose with whatever high dmg AoEs you have (I was thinking of Meteor Shower, Firestorm, Searing Heat...since they don't run).

Thank you, ANet. The demons now give 464 XP per kill with the hunt blessing. Also, the scrolls stack with this bonus, but the XP cap that tuna-fish_sushi mentioned kicks in at 812 XP. You can hit this with a Scroll of Hunter's Insight (+75% XP).

Considering that new data, the break-even point with 2-minute, 6k Trolls is about 5 1/2 minutes. Currently, I can farm them in about 8 minutes. So, I'm not quite there. However, with a tighter build and some additional levels of Lightbringer, it ought to be possible.

Currently my elite count is up to 291 so can't get anymore xp from capping elites. Already did all the faction quests and besides, farming trolls (while boring) still gives more xp.

I've tried Rihlon Refuge which is also an easy farm. 13 bugs and a boss but the bugs are only lvl 20 so less xp. I switch it up occasionally since there's a green drop there.

Also, I already reached Max Lightbringer and Max Sunspear titles so can't get the blessings anymore.

So far Mountain Trolls have netted the most xp per run for me. Worst spawn I've seen has only 11 but then usually has another 6 or 7 near bosses so I can combine the two. Using a triple xp scroll, each troll gives me 504 xp and the boss gives me 1200 xp. So guess I'll stick with this until I find a better area to farm.

I think he's using the Mo/N build, based on either Spiteful Spirit or Spoil Victor. The best I've been able to do with my Elementalist is something like Glyph of Renewal + Sliver Armor + a few other damage spells + stay alive. It works well enough in the early going, but runs out of steam quick. Clearing the first area (about 15 Djinn and Roaring Ethers) takes 5-10 minutes. So, the XP/s is still somewhat below that of Troll runs -- unless someone out there has a quicker build.
